# How to switch to Live Mode?

|| To accept online payments, you must activate your Payfacile account, ie switch it to Live Mode.

# ${color}[#6964e0](Switching to Live Mode is done in 3 steps:)

1. Connect a payment gateway (Stripe for example).
2. Choose a Payfacile plan.
3. Click on the 'Switch to Live Mode' button.

## ${color}[#ffb300](1- Connect a payment gateway)

The payment gateway to connect will depend on the payment method you wish to activate:
* To activate credit card, you need to connect "Stripe".
* To activate the SEPA transfer, you need to connect "GoCarless".

|| You can connect both "Stripe" and "GoCardless" if you want to activate both credit card payment and SEPA transfer payment.

1. Go to [Settings // Payment Gateway](https://www.payfacile.com/store/settings/payment/?utm_source=faq).
2. Click on the **"Add a payment gateway" button**.
3. Choose **"Credit Cards "**.
4. Click on **"Stripe"**.
5. Click on **"Connect Stripe "** (if you don't have a "Stripe" account click on "Open an account").

###### ${color}[#f150be](How to connect GoCardless to enable SEPA payment?)

1. Go to [Settings // Payment Gateway](https://www.payfacile.com/store/settings/payment/?utm_source=faq).
2. Click on the **"Add a payment gateway" button**.
3. Choose **"Instant transfers "**.
4. Click on **"GoCardless"**.
5. Click on **"Connect GoCardless "** (if you don't have a GoCardless account click on "Open an account").


## ${color}[#ffb300](2- Choose a Payfacile plan)

1. Go to the [Plan & Billing](https://www.payfacile.com/billing/?utm_source=faq) section then on PLAN.
2. Choose your plan.
3. Enter a credit card for the payment of transaction fees charged by Payfacile.

||| A credit card is always requested. This is for the payment of transaction fees at the end of the period.

1. Go to the [Get Started](https://www.payfacile.com/getstarted/?utm_source=faq) section
2. If you have completed the first 3 steps, you can now click on 'Switch to Live Mode'.

|| Switching to Live Mode may take a few minutes. Be patient.

|| When switching to Live Mode, all your test orders will be deleted and the numbering of your invoices will restart from zero.
